Chokhi Dhani, Sonipat, Poor dining experience at relatively high price
We have visited the place to spend our weekend with a hope to have same hospitality and variety of events, as in Jaipur.
It started with a long queue for entry passes, due to weekend it was over crowded and there was no arrangement to manage the crowd. Centralized AC were there, but not in working condition.
Welcome drinks was served in disposal glasses but it was tasteless. Complimentary snacks also failed to impress us.
You can enjoy the camel/horse/bullock/tractor ride, few cultural events, mehandi, rajasthani dresses. But every where we were asked for tip (though indirectly). Maximum things are on paid basis inside.
Overall hygiene and taste factor of food is just average. Even the dinner process is very messy, due to crowd, we haven’t got the traditional food services. They have served the food in lawn in buffet system.
Signature dish daal bati and churma was not upto the mark, other items were just ok types. Though the lahsun chatni was above average.
Most of the Games counter were shutdown around 9:30 pm while official closing time is 11:00 pm.
Overall it’s an average place with beautiful interior and average food but one time visit, specially for people who doesn’t have village experience.
